Cynthia Dustin was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her family
moved to the Northern Nevada area shortly after, and then
moved down to Las Vegas in 1969. Ms. Dustin grew up in Las
Vegas, attending local schools, and graduated from Bonanza
High School in 1985. She attended the University of Nevada, Las
Vegas to obtain her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic
Training. After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree, Cynthia
Dustin created her own personal training business in the Las
Vegas area.
In 2000, Ms. Dustin returned back to school and attended the
William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Las Vegas,
Nevada. While in law school, Ms. Dustin worked as a law clerk
for Wolfson & Glass, focusing on criminal defense law.
Ms. Dustin earned CALI awards for excellence in the areas of
Evidence and Gaming Law while in law school. She was a
member of the law school’s moot court team, and competed in
the National Appellate Advocacy Competition on behalf of the
school. Ms. Dustin was also one of the Westlaw Student
Representatives on campus.
In her last year of law school, Ms. Dustin obtained an externship
with the Honorable James C. Mahan, in the United States
District Court of Nevada, Southern Division. Ms. Dustin went
onto graduate from law school and passed the Nevada State Bar,
becoming a licensed member of the Nevada Bar in 2003. After
graduating from law school, she accepted a law clerk position for
the Honorable Jackie Glass in the Eighth Judicial District Court
of Nevada.
After completing her clerkship with Judge Glass, Ms. Dustin
joined the law firm of Steven B. Wolfson, Chtd. in 2004. At the
end of 2006, Ms. Dustin formed the Law Office of Cynthia
Dustin, LLC. She was selected to be a conflict attorney for
Clark County, accepting court appointed cases out of Justice and
District Courts when the public defender was unable to
represent particular individuals due to a conflict. Ms. Dustin
practices in criminal defense work and family law in the Las
Vegas and surrounding areas.
